Rods:
8,9,10 weight for Permit and Bonefish, 9,10, or 11 for Tarpon.Reels:
Any make with a good drag system and at least 175-200 yards of backing.
Lines:
All WF floating, one fast sink for Tarpon, such as Teeny 300. Salt water tapers are best
with 9ft-12ft 15 or 17 lb. test tapered leaders, no knots. Tarpon leaders should have
80-100 lb. shock tippet. Barracuda require wire tippet. |

- Bauers Flats Crab, in colors of tans and olives
- Merkins
- Bauers Mantis Shrimp, in colors of light olive and orange.
Bones and Jacks:
- Pink puff, chartreuse puff, tan puff or charlies.
Tarpon:
- Leftys deceivers

- Stu Apte type Tarpon flies

Do not forget sunscreens, rain gear, Polaroid's, flats booties (hard sole), line
cleaner and insect repellant with DEET for sand flies on leeward side of cayes.
